The past year has been challenging for everyone, especially the Senior community. We want to reassure our current and prospective clients that Comforts of Home is here to stay and ready to serve you. It was an epic year to be remembered in 2020. Comforts of Home continued to offer ways to engage with seniors through conference calls, blogs, and individual check ins with our community of seniors.
Comforts of Home has recently welcomed Carlie Richard to our staff as Business Development Manager. Carlie comes to our organization with 15 years’ experience in operational and client management within technology and healthcare business sectors. She will be instrumental in expanding our reach and developing mutually beneficial relationships in the community to assist both clients and the business.
Carlie received her BS in Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2004 and has been a Texas Cajun since 2014. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four children cheering at baseball and softball games, swim meets and recitals. We are excited to add Carlie to our team and know you will enjoy getting to know her as she attends community events and our monthly luncheons.
We are also pleased to announce the launch of our new and improved website! After several months of hard work and dedication our new site is available at www.yourcomfortsofhome.com
Our new website provides details on our services and offers information on what home care is and how we work hand in hand with our clients to create positive and personalized experiences. We will be constantly updating our content with helpful information, articles, blogs, newsletters, and announcements to keep you in the know of our services.
We have also launched a new software system allowing you to easily navigate to your loved one’s care plan, giving you real-time transparency to the care process by helping to ease some of the logistical burdens with our online Family Room portal.
Our Senior Lunches were on hold for most of 2020 as well as the beginning of 2021. We spent the time away looking for ways to grow the audience of seniors able to attend the luncheon. We were thrilled to host our first luncheon this May at the Conroe Senior Center located at 1202 Candy Cane Park in Conroe, TX. This venue serves as a hub of activities for seniors Monday through Friday with special events held on weekends. The Conroe Senior Center was a natural fit for us and provides the ability to serve nearly 100 attendees at one time! Watch for details about our lunch and learns held every Third Wednesday of the Month with speakers directed towards resources for seniors. This is a free event to the 65+ community.
Community Assistance Center continues to be our community partner with resources for food assistance, utility assistance, rent/mortgage assistance, clothing, and other essential needs for individuals facing a temporary financial crisis.
